Kōkiri is the Youth Advisory Group for youth mental health services in Kirikiriroa/Hamilton. We are a group of rangatahi with service user lived experience.  We were established in 2024 as a joint venture within the Hamilton Cluster services to provide advice, advocacy and relevant information on issues affecting rangatahi service users/ whaiora. 

 

We can help to inform service development and service provision by reviewing and advising on projects, developments, or initiatives, identifying gaps and barriers, co-designing or proposing new initiatives to improve mental health and addiction services.

 

By utilising the rangatahi advisors’ lived experience as a source of knowledge, we enable representation of the voices of people who are unlikely to represent themselves.
